Back to School Essentials

September is here and so is the new school year. But with it being a couple months since the last school term, it is easy to forget the essentials your child will need for the start of the new school year. So, what are the top essentials your child will need for the start of school?

Waterproof jacket

With school starting at the end of summer, you are better of preparing for the wet and rainy weather than the sunny. And the best way to do that is with a waterproof jacket. They are perfect for autumn and winter for protecting your child from the rain before, during, and after school.

Backpack

Whilst a lot of younger schools may have a book bag, having a backpack for your child will definitely come in use during the school year. They are great for carrying any books or homework you have, and your pack lunch box. Backpacks are also great for any school trips as they allow your child to carry everything they will need for the day.

Water bottle

Staying hydrated is always important, especially for children, and the best way to do it is by packing your child a water bottle for the day. They are also great for all ages as they aren’t as easy to spill like a cup.

Lunch box

Lunch boxes are a great way to protect your child’s food from getting squashed. But whilst not every child will have a packed lunch, a lunch box is still useful for every child to have. They are great for using on any school trips when you have to take your own lunch. Lunch bags are also an ideal choice, especially if they have cooling technology, as they keep your food fresher for longer.

Wellies

With the summer coming to an end, your child needs to be wet weather – especially with footwear. Wellies are a great rainy-day choice for footwear as they help keep your feet dry, making them the perfect option for walking to and from school.

Winter warmers

Although it is only the end of summer, the colder winter months will soon roll around and its best to be prepared with a hat, scarf and gloves to keep your child warm and dry throughout autumn and winter.

Now, with the help of these essentials, your children’s start to the school year will be a little smoother sailing.
